"I turned 30 the other week and still feel young and fresh," Jones told the club’s media team.
"I feel I’ve [got] a lot more to give still, as long as I feel great, I can continue for as long as I can.
“[My ambition is] Just try to play as many games as I can. Try to be involved in things, to be part of the games. I know, when you’ve been out for a while, people think yeah, he’s been out for a while but I’m ready. I know I’m capable of playing.

Jones’ return came at Old Trafford and the United No.4 received a huge reception from the club’s supporters.
“It was incredible," he added.
"An incredible feeling. One of the best, it’s weird as I’ve won the Premier League and been involved in some huge games but that was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had at United.
“To play in the game and get the reception I did, I just felt that energy and it was incredible. I can never thank the fans enough for the reception they gave me. It was an incredible feeling and it gives you goosebumps just thinking about it.

I was so focused on the game and wasn’t expecting that but, to have that when the game has finished, you know you’ve lost the game but they were singing my name as I was walking off. It was an incredible feeling, an incredible feeling.”
