Paul Scholes has outlined Wilfred Ndidi as a player Manchester United should look to sign this summer.
The Red Devils legend believes Ndidi’s style of play ‘fits the bill’ of his former club and new United manager Erik ten Hag should aim to bring the Leicester City midfielder to Old Trafford when the transfer window opens on June 10.

The Nigerian international has been absent for Leicester in the past few months due to injury but Scholes thinks the 25-year-old is ‘one of the best’ defensive midfielders in the world.
“Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi still very much fits the bill of what Manchester United are looking for, and with just two years remaining on his contract at Leicester, it’s likely to cost significantly less than the eye-watering sums associated with him in summer past,” he told Football Daily, as quoted by Punch.
“And while he missed the last two months of the season with a knee injury, he remains one of the best defensive midfielders in the game when fit, averaging an astounding 6.5 tackles and interceptions each match and ranking in the top 7% of midfielders for aerial duels, too.”

The quartet will also be joined by Edinson Cavani in players confirmed to be departing Old Trafford this summer.
United finished last season in sixth place with 58 points - their worst points tally in a Premier League campaign.
The upcoming transfer window is likely to be a big one for Ten Hag and his staff with a squad overhaul expected.
Ndidi, who has been capped 43 times by Nigeria, was part of the Foxes team who lifted the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021.
