Atletico Madrid have added Mason Greenwood to their summer 'shortlist' amid an impressive loan spell at Getafe, according to reports.
Greenwood was sent out on loan by Manchester United last summer, following an internal investigation into the striker's conduct. The 22-year-old was charged with attempted rape and assault - the charges were eventually dropped by Greater Manchester Police - and the decision was taken that his future career lie elsewhere.

Diego Simeone's side are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements, having failed with a late move for Juventus striker Moise Kean last month. The Italian was set for a move to the Spanish capital but it collapsed at the medical stage.
They are more likely to be able to afford a permanent deal by summer, at which point Greenwood's loan with Getafe will be over. He is expected to leave the club permanently and has previously been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Greenwood will have 12 months remaining on his United contract by summer, meaning the club will bring in a fee for their striker. As a boyhood academy graduate, any money will represent pure profit in the books which is a positive for profitability and sustainability rules.

Scott McTominay has also been linked with a move away this summer despite enjoying a strong season under Erik ten Hag.
