How many players do Man Utd & Man City have at Euro 2024 in comparison to rivals Liverpool & Arsenal?

With Euro 2024 just days away, the excitement is building. England, Portugal and Spain are among the early favourites to win the tournament, meaning there’s every chance a European champion will be heading back to Manchester ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

Between Manchester United and Manchester City, nine nations will be represented at this summer’s tournament in Germany. 

Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, England, Portugal, Netherlands, Spain, Scotland, Switzerland and Turkey have United or City players in their respective squads. That list includes eight of the 11 sides with the best pre-tournament odds - the exceptions being favourites France, along with Germany and Italy.

Meanwhile, City’s 14 players at Euro 2024 is the highest of any club in world football. Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are a close second with 13 representatives, followed by Real Madrid, who have 12 players each.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Arsenal have 11 players at the championships, the same number as Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Ten players from Liverpool will be in Germany, while eight of Erik ten Hag’s United squad are set to be involved.

Chelsea and Brentford are next on the list with seven players each, while Ipswich Town are the only Premier League side who won’t have a single squad member at the Euros.

The tournament commences with Scotland’s clash against Germany on Friday night, while England are in action on Sunday when they take on Serbia in Gelsenkirchen. The 24-team competition runs for exactly a month between 14 June and 14 July, with Italy the reigning champions from three years ago.
