Manchester United have no immediate plans to sack Ruben Amorim despite their poor start to the new Premier League season.
United have taken just four points from their first four matches of the campaign and were also dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Grimsby Town. It means there is fresh pressure on Amorim to keep his job at Old Trafford, though he currently retains the backing of the United board after he was given £225 million to strengthen his squad in the summer transfer window.
United's hierarchy have no desire to sack their head coach so early into the season, but they might have to change their minds if results don't improve over the coming weeks. Erik ten Hag was sacked in October last year after he had also been backed with a £200m transfer haul in the summer window.
Jim Ratcliffe will hope history doesn't repeat itself, but if they were to make a managerial change, here is a look at nine of the most realistic options they could go for.

5. Julian Nagelsmann
Nagelsmann might not be available immediately, but could be a permanent choice after the World Cup next summer if they get an interim boss in for the remainder of the season. | Getty Images

6. Graham Potter
Potter is available after he was sacked by West Ham this weekend. His stock is low after his dismissal but he was previously considered as an option to replace Erik ten Hag. | AFP via Getty Images

7. Unai Emery
Emery might have started the season poorly with Aston Villa, but he has done a good job at Villa Park and might be ready for another huge job. | Getty Images

8. Marco Silva
Silva has long been overlooked for any major roles in the Premier League and might be ready for the next step in his own managerial career. | Getty Images
