Manchester United could be set to say goodbye to several first-team stars when they play Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Red Devils head into the final game of the 2021/22 Premier League season needing a win to secure sixth place and a spot in the Europa League.
Three points will ensure Erik ten Hag’s first season won’t involve participating in Europe’s third-tier competition, ahead of what is likely to be a busy summer for the Dutchman.
Ten Hag will be in attendance when United take on Palace this weekend and starts his new role officially on Monday.
One of his first jobs will be to assess which players he will have at his disposal for the start of the next campaign, and ask who is set to leave the club.
Five of the first-team squad will see their contracts expire at the end of the campaign, while there are plenty of others who are reportedly set to leave.
So ahead of the final game of the season, we look at nine players who could be set to say goodbye to United at Selhurst Park this weekend.
While some on our list won’t actually be involved in the team against Palace, they could still share a moment with the away following and bid farewell in their own manner…
1. Dean Henderson
According to reports this week in the Manchester Evening News, the goalkeeper is on the verge of joining Newcastle United. Regardless, Henderson is unlikely to be involved at Selhurst Park with David De Gea set to start.
2. Lee Grant
Certainly won’t play on Sunday, but the veteran stopper’s contract expires in the summer and is expected to depart.
3. Eric Bailly
Been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks and has been fifth-choice centre-back in the final months of the season.
4. Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Sky Sports claimed Erik ten Hag is willing to let the right-back leave this summer, so Sunday could be his last game for the Red Devils, ironically against the club who United signed him from.
