A trophy treble may be off the cards for Manchester United this season after crashing out of the Europa League on Thursday night, but there is still plenty to play for this season.

Erik ten Hag's side will now focus on the FA Cup and Premier League as a dramatic season at Old Trafford draws to a close.

It is just Brighton who stand between United and a second domestic cup final this season as they also push for a top three Premier League finish.

Here are the latest transfer rumours from Old Trafford.

Neymar hints at long-term career plan after latest Manchester United link

Neymar has hinted that a move back to boyhood club Santos may be more likely than a big money transfer to Manchester United if PSG do let the star go.

The Brazilian forward was once again linked with the Red Devils in recent weeks amidst reports that the French giants will need to let big names leave this summer to streamline their wage bill.

United's European stature and their well-known search for a talisman made the transfer connection easy to make, but the striker has now shared his intentions to one day return to Santos.

Neymar is currently in his home country undergoing surgery on a long-term ankle problem and visited Santos having told Globoesporte: "One day, I will come back. I will come back. It's great to come back to my house. I feel at home here, I'm so happy to come back after ten years. Unfortunately, it's a draw, I wanted them to win."

Erik ten Hag open to Middlesbrough deal for 22-year-old defender

Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams could get the green light to complete his rumoured move to Middlesbrough this summer.

The Guardian reports that Williams is one of a handful of players that Erik ten Hag is 'considering' moving on this summer alongside the likes of Dean Henderson, Anthony Elanga and Donny van de Beek.

Middlesbrough are currently vying for promotion in the Championship and sit in fourth-place, nine points ahead of Millwall in fifth, and have booked a place in the play-offs.

The chance to strike up a deal with Manchester United legend Michael Carrick may help make that move a reality as Williams searches for game time.

The talented defender spent the last campaign on loan at Norwich but hasn't made a single appearance for United's first team this season.
