Manchester United and Rangers could meet again in the Europa League this season if both British clubs make it to the last four of the competition. The pair met in the league phase, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a 92nd minute winner just four minutes after Cyriel Dessers thought he’d clinched a draw for the Scottish side.
Rangers are 3-1 up against Fenerbahce after their first leg while United drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad. Since their win over the Ibrox club, Rangers have parted company with manager Phillipe Clement. Despite a positive run of results in Europe, Rangers domestic form left plenty to be desired with Clement relieved of his duties last month. Barry Ferguson has been placed in interim charge with a permanent appointment set to be made at the end of the season.
