Next Man Utd manager odds: Ex-Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs men linked amid Ruben Amorim sack admission

A look at the candidates to be the next Man Utd boss as uncertainty surrounding Ruben Amorim’s future continues to intensify

Under-fire Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has only intensified speculation surrounding his long-term future at Old Trafford by claiming that he may not be the right man to take the team forward next season.

The former Sporting Lisbon boss only arrived at United on 11 November but is understood to be under huge pressure by the hierarchy after winning just six of his opening 25 league games while falling to defeat on 13 occasions.

Overall, Amorim has a dismal 24% win record in the league, which is less than half the amount of David Moyes, who hold the second worst win percentage in the league of any manager in the post Sir Alex Ferguson era. Amorim’s only saving grace has been reaching the Europa League final which could still offer the team a pathway back into the Champions League if they can overcome an equally underwhelming Tottenham side in Bilbao.

"It's a decisive moment in the history of the club. We need to be really strong in the summer and to be brave because we will not have a next season like this. If we start like this, if the feeling is still here, we should give the space to different people,” he said after losing to West Ham United.

Pressure is mounting on Amorim to turn the corner in the near future, and if reports from Mirror Sport are to be believed Jim Ratcliffe and co are already drawing up plans to review the Portuguese coaches long-term future. With that in mind, we take a look at the odds from Bet Victor to see who Man Utd could turn to replace Amorim if they decide to let the ex-Sporting CP man go.
