Manchester United will learn a lot about the true quality of their squad depth when the new Premier League season starts later this week.
Erik ten Hag will hope to have new signings Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt both available for the clash against Fulham on Friday night, with United likely to be without Luke Shaw as well as Leny Yoro in defence.
The good news is United have a relatively full strength midfield and forward line to choose from, with Rasmus Hojlund the only notable absentee heading into the first few weeks of the new season.
United's line up against Fulham should tell us a lot about how Ten Hag views his options, which will not only highlight who is in line for a starting role, but who is currently viewed as a backup option.
Those in reserve will have plenty of opportunity to impress in the coming months when the Europa League and Carabao Cup begin, and with that in mind, here is a look at United's current second XI:

3. CB - Jonny Evans
