Manchester United and England number one Mary Earps has launched a new clothing range as the debate rages over Nike’s refusal to sell her World Cup jersey to fans.

Named MAE27 and taking inspiration from her own emotional and impassioned speech at FIFA’s The Best awards, Earps clothing range is available now and encourages fans to "be unapologetically" themselves.

"So proud to finally launch my own clothing brand" said the Lionesses stopper.

"A lot of sweat and tears have gone into this but I'm chuffed to be able to bring this little idea to life. I've wanted to do this for such a long time but never took the plunge because I didn't have a scooby where to start - I still don't but I've gone for it anyway.

"So here it is, minimalistic and unapologetically itself, MAE27" she added via her official Instagram page.

A number of Manchester United and Lionesses team mates commented on the post to congratulate the 30-year-old, including England defender Millie Bright, who wrote: "So fricking proud. You've nailed it", while Millie Turner noted the line "be unapologetically yourself" was a quote she "now lived by".

Offering a range of sizes, MAE27 have began the launch with two t-shirt designs, which can be viewed and ordered here, with gender neutral sizing.
