Manchester United 'willing' to offer £50m-plus for Everton star as Mason Greenwood 'stance' detailed

All focus at Manchester United has turned to Saturday’s FA Cup final clash against Manchester City, with Erik ten Hag keen to win silverware for the second consecutive campaign in charge. The Reds were rather fortunate to end their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win against a wasteful Brighton, but goals from Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund will boost confidence going into this weekend’s trip to Wembley.
The winning of a trophy might be the only thing that saves Ten Hag, with speculation surrounding the Dutchman intensifying with each day. It’s set to be a busy summer at Old Trafford regardless, and ManchesterWorld has rounded up some of the latest headlines surrounding the club.

United are reportedly willing to go above £50million in their pursuit of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. The Daily Mail reports that the Toffees are bracing themselves for opening offers, which are expected soon.
Branthwaite is on the radar of several top Premier League clubs after what has been an outstanding individual season at Goodison Park. The 21-year-old has been almost ever-present in one of the league’s best defences and has fingers crossed for a spot in the England squad for Euro 2024.
Manchester City and Tottenham have also expressed their interest in Branthwaite, with the recently-crowned Premier League champions also willing to go above £50m. Everton are expected to dig their heels in over the price, however, with hope that a bidding war could pull it higher.
Greenwood stance
United are planning to sell Mason Greenwood this summer amid ongoing interest across Europe. talkSPORT reports that Napoli and Atletico Madrid are among potential suitors for the forward, who is currently on loan at Getafe.

And the 22-year-old is now expected to end his association with United permanently.
Greenwood has registered 10 goals and six assists in 34 appearances for Getafe this season, with that form catching the eye of top European sides. It is unclear how much United hope to receive for the forward.
