'He’s so good' - Manchester United urged to sign 'unbelievable' Champions League finalist

Manchester United have two more Premier League fixtures left to get through this season as they look to end on a high note. They face an away trip to Chelsea next Friday at Stamford Bridge. The Red Devils then play Aston Villa at home on the final day so both of their upcoming opponents are battling for Champions League.
Ruben Amorim’s side also have their Europa League final clash against Tottenham Hotspur coming up in Bilbao. They saw off Athletic Bilbao in the semi-finals. Spurs, meanwhile, beat Bodo/Glimt over two legs.

United have been urged to sign Denzel Dumfries by their former player Gary Neville. The Holland international is currently on the books of Inter Milan. He has been a key player for the Serie A giants over recent years and they could face a battle to keep hold of him in the future.
Speaking on Stick to Football, Neville has said: “Do you know what I kept thinking, I was thinking with United playing with their back five and the wing-backs, I was thinking about that right wing-back Dumfries, for United. I’d like to see him in the Premier League. Dumfries, how good was he? Unbelievable. He’s so good, he’s so good.”
However, Alan Shearer believes he would be perfect for the Red Devils’ rivals Liverpool. The ex-Newcastle United man has said recently: “His energy has been incredible and the most impressive thing for me is how good he’s been in forward positions. He got a couple of goals, the assist in the [Champions League] semi-finals. Defensively is a different question, but certainly offensively he’s a very, very good player. Arne Slot will know him better than anyone being a fellow Dutchman.
“Signing for Liverpool would be an option, but he’s got the chance of winning the Champions League and he’s also got a chance of winning the league so he’s obviously in a very healthy position.”

If United landed Dumfries, he would give them another option to pick from. He likes to get up and down the right flank from right-back. The 29-year-old is an experienced operator now and has played over 400 games in his career to date.
Dumfries joined Inter Milan back in 2021 and he has since become one of their most prized assets. He has made 173 appearances for them in all competitions to date and has scored 21 goals, 10 of which have come in this campaign. The Rhoon-born man has helped them reach the Champions League final this year and they will battle it out with PSG for the trophy in Munich.
He started his senior career at Sparta Rotterdam and broke into their first-team as a youngster in 2014. The full-back then spent a year at SC Heerenveen before PSV swooped in. He enjoyed his time in Rotterdam and featured on 124 occasions before his move to Italy came about. It remains to be seen whether he is someone on United’s radar but Neville has recommended his old team to try and get him.
