AFC Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is on United’s ‘list’ of potential targets ahead of the January transfer window. According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg on X, the defender is being linked with a switch to the Red Devils and is also said to be admired by Liverpool.
Kerkez, who is 21-years-old, could be seen by Amorim as a potential long-term option in defence and possible competition for the likes of Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. His contract with the Cherries expires in June 2028 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come in for his signature.
The Hungary international joined Bournemouth back in July last year and he has since adapted well to life in the top flight. He has made 44 appearances in all competitions, 11 of which have come in this campaign, and he has become one of the Dorset side’s most prized assets and they won’t want to lose him amid interest from some big teams.
Kerkez was snapped up as a youngster by AC Milan after catching the eye at ETO FC Győr. He never made a senior appearance for the Serie A giants though and subsequently left the San Siro on a permanent basis when AZ Alkmaar came calling.

Midfielder targeted
United are targeting a winter ‘move’ for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, according to TEAMtalk. Rivals Manchester City and Liverpool are also weighing up swoops for the 25-year-old who is impressing over in Italy at the moment.
He switched to the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia back in 2022 from Salernitana and hasn’t looked back, playing 108 games altogether and scoring 10 goals, two of which have come this term. He had also had spells in the past in Brazil with Cruzeiro and Corinthians. If he was to join the Red Devils, he would give them another option to pick from in the middle of the park.
Speaking ahead of his first match in the dugout at home, Amorim has said; “Everybody has said to me it will be a special time. I just want to win the game to give that happiness to the supporters. Before the match, it will be a new sensation but after the whistle it will be one more game and we want to win that match."
