United must now wait unitil May 22 to finish their season, facing Crystal Palace away from home.

And they will be hoping the Hammers slip up sufficiently between now and then to keep the Europa League battle wide open heading into the final day.

As things stand, just three points separate the two teams, and the Hammers have a game in hand plus a superior goal difference.

But as we wait for the top six race to play out, let’s take a look at the latest United transfer rumours.

Pogba offer

Juventus are now said to be in pole position to land United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Pogba’s contract expires in just over a month, and it’s clear he will leave Old Trafford when his current deal expires.

According to The Mirror, his former club Juve are now leading the race having submitted a contract offer worth £160,000 per week.

Lingard misses out on move

Newcastle are said to have scrapped their move for United midfielder Jesse Lingard.

Lingard is also out of contract this summer and he is in search of regular football having struggled for minutes at Old Trafford this season.

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle were in talks with Lingard over a deal, but they have called off the move due to high wage demands.

The report claims Lingard is asking for more than £150,000 per week, a wage the Magpies won’t pay.

Laimer release clause

United already know how they can land RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer this summer.

According to SportBild via SportWitness, Leizpig are desperate to keep Laimer around, but they have a problem.

The midfielder is said to have a release clause worth €40million built into his contract, so United can snatch him away with a bid worth that total.
