Erik ten Hag's side won't be finishing in the top-four this campaign, but will be looking to end it on a high with Europa League qualification and victory in the FA Cup Final.

United are set to receive a number of fitness boosts ahead of the run-in with the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford amongst those who could return to training this week.

There is currently an element of uncertainty surrounding their situations though, after Sky Sports reported they had both returned to training on Tuesday. However, they have since deleted a social media clip of the duo because it included outdated training footage from earlier in the year, rather than footage from a recent session.

It remains to be seen when they will actually return to action and whether or not either them will be available against Crystal Palace next Monday night. Martinez has not featured since he suffered a calf strain in the 1-1 draw with Brentford at the end of March, while Rashford has missed the last two matches after he suffered a knock in the FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry.

United are expected to welcome more players back to training later this week with Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial both set to be available for selection before the end of the campaign.

When asked about the fitness of Shaw, Martinez and Martial last week, Ten Hag told reporters: “I think we will see them all in the season,” the manager said. “They [have] all returned onto the pitch. Next week, they have to make the step into team training and they can be available for the last weeks. They progress well.” Shaw last played against Luton on February 18 when he was substituted at half-time and Martial has not made a matchday squad since the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth last December.
