A number of Manchester United players have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford this window, with Alex Telles the latest to be touted as possibly on his way out of the club.

With less than a week remaining of the January transfer window, the Red Devils have set a price for a potential transfer exit for the full-back. Ralf Rangnick’s side will accept a fee as low as £13 million to part ways with Telles, according to L’Interista.

The report comes as a surprise since Telles has emerged as a key player under Rangnick, making six league starts from a possible eight.

The 29-year-old joined Man United in 2020 for around £15 million, arriving in the same window as Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani.

Telles initially began his career in Manchester as back-up to Luke Shaw, but the England international’s declining form this season has paved the way for the left-back.

Inter Milan and Barcelona have both recently been linked with a move for the ex-Porto defender and it appears the Red Devils could be prepared to cash in - despite asking for less than what they paid for Telles less than two years ago.

However, Rangnick’s comments prior to their trip to Aston Villa early this month suggest he is in no rush to sell the player.

Speaking to the club, Rangnick said: “I’m more than happy to have two players like Luke and Alex for that position as a left-back.

“We have two good players and depending on who is fully fit, fully fresh, do we need to rest somebody?

“As with Luke, it’s the case right now he is suspended, so it’s important to have two players with a little bit of a different profile.

“The two English full-backs [Shaw and Wan-Bissaka] are both defensively and offensively balanced players, so that gives the coach lots of options depending on which team you’re going to play.”
