Manchester United 'reject' latest Mason Greenwood offer after 'meeting' club officials

Manchester United have reportedly rejected Lazio's first offer to sign Mason Greenwood in the summer transfer window.
United are looking to cash-in on the forward in the coming weeks, but it is claimed they are hoping to sell him for a hefty upfront fee and not a deal which would see them earn most of their money in the future.

It is understood United value Greenwood at roughly £30 million and there is a preference to receive all the money upfront so it can provided the biggest boost possible to the club's tight financial situation.
While there is no urgency to sell any players this week, United are targeting record player sales this summer to help comply with Financial Fair Play as well as Profit and Sustainability Regulations, with the sale of Greenwood viewed as a key part of their transfer plans.
As he joined the club at the age of six and graduated from the club's academy system, the 22-year-old would generate pure profit on the balance books and could give them an immediate £30m transfer boost.
