Manchester United defeated Rangers 2-0 in their second pre-season fixture on Saturday afternoon as Leny Yoro made his first appearance for the club.
Erik ten Hag's side were improved from their defeat to Rosenborg earlier in the week, with Amad Diallo the standout performer against his former loan side.
The Ivorian should have had an assist to his name when he set-up Ethan Wheatley with a brilliant run, only for the teenage striker to see his goal bound effort blocked by Dujon Sterling. Amad then went close to an opener of his own when he whistled a free-kick just wide of the near-post.
He'd soon get his goal though. After a brilliant run by Mason Mount, Amad collected the ball on the right flank before he cut inside and rifled a low effort into the bottom far corner.
United should have doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time when Jadon Sancho fired over the bar and Ten Hag made wholesale changes at the break with Andre Onana the only player to keep their starting role.
As expected, the quality of the match lowered considerably after the restart, with United forced to do more defensive work as Rangers searched for an equalising goal. Will Fish was one of those who caught the eye when he made an important tackle to deny a certain goal in his own box.
It didn't stop United from grabbing a second though, as Joe Hugill produced an emphatic finish to beat the goalkeeper from inside the box after a good assist from Maxi Oyedele.
Here is how we rated the players in the 2-0 win:
