The early team news and predicted XI as Man Utd face Tottenham in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim has a selection dilemma for Manchester United’s trip to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

United will hope for revenge against the side that knocked them out of the Carabao Cup in December but head into the match with an injury crisis that saw them suffer four fresh setbacks.

Lisandro Martinez could miss the majority of the calendar year after he underwent successful surgery earlier this week, while Amad Diallo is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines after he suffered ankle ligament damage in training. Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte both suffered setbacks in the week, with fellow midfielder Toby Collyer ill. Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez are both long-term injury absentees, while Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton have their own injury issues.

Here is how United could line up amid the injury crisis:

Manchester United predicted line up

Amorim should have a straightforward decision to make in goal with Andre Onana a certainty to start. The Cameroon international is still the first-choice and deserves to keep his place in the line up ahead of Altay Bayindir. United should also have a relatively easy decision to make in central defence with Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro all fit enough to start. Noussair Mazraoui is another option, but might be better suited to a bench role.

Diogo Dalot should occupy a right wing-back role and January signing Patrick Dorgu could finally be unleashed in his favoured left wing-back position. Bruno Fernandes is certain to start in central midfield, with either Casemiro or Christian Eriksen in contention to partner him.

Garnacho is another certain starter amid the lack of attacking options and could be partnered by either Eriksen or Joshua Zirkzee in the other attacking midfield role. It might make more sense to start the Danish international so that they have another attacking option on the bench.
