Manchester United plot 'agreement' with Arsenal target as Ruben Amorim eyes transfer deal

Manchester United are back in Premier League action this weekend with an away trip to Fulham. The Red Devils head down to London on Sunday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways in the league.
Ruben Amorim’s side are currently sat in 13th in the table. It has been a poor season so far and they will be hoping for much better during the second-half of the campaign.

Manchester United linked with Sverre Nypan
Rosenborg midfielder Sverre Nypan has emerged as a ‘target’ for United this winter along with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund as they look to strike an ‘agreement’, as per a report by GiveMeSport. The Gunners’ midfielder Martin Odegaard is apparently trying to persuade the prospect to move to the Emirates Stadium instead.
Nypan, 18, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and his current club will face a battle to keep hold of him amid interest from England. He joined them back in 2020 from Nardo and hasn’t looked back since.
United could see the teenager as someone to bolster their midfield ranks down the line. If they managed to land him, he would give them another option to pick from in the middle of the park in the interim period.

Hide AdHe penned his first professional deal with Rosenborg back in 2022 and was handed an extension only a matter of months after that. The youngster has become a key player for their first-team and has made 60 appearances in all competitions so far, chipping in with 13 goals.
Back in December, reporter Graeme Bailey told United in Focus: “It’s coming to January now and his club are pushing him for a decision. That is what I am hearing at the moment. Rosenborg are hoping for a breakthrough. Rosenborg want to know what’s happening.
“They’re hopeful, I would expect something in the next couple of weeks. I imagine we will know by early January if he is going to move, which all indications are he will.”
What next for Manchester United?
Time will tell whether United end up lodging an official offer for Nyman amid competition from Arsenal and Dortmund. They will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat against Brighton with a win at Fulham.

Hide AdAmorim has said: “I'm not taking responsibility from the players. What I'm saying is that the message that you guys showed was that I was putting it on the players.
"What I was saying is that you have to look really hard to find a team like Manchester United in 10 games that lose seven games. And that is on me. Because it's the same players doing worse with a new coach.
"That's my only concern at the moment. But I'm not taking anything from the players. What I'm saying is that we have to improve in the details, and I explained that. The way we play, we are too nervous with the ball. Too nervous, really anxious. And then, if you have a little bit of experience in this game, when you fall in this type of context, it's really hard to go up.”
