Manchester United were defeated 3-0 by Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon after an unacceptable team performance littered with individual errors.
Erik ten Hag named three changes from the side which lost against Brighton a week ago, with Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee both handed their first starts for the club, while Alejandro Garnacho started for the first time this season.
The changes did little to improve United though, in a match which the away side dominated from start to finish. Liverpool thought they took the lead after just five minutes when Trent Alexander-Arnold fired in from close range, only for the goal to be correctly ruled out by VAR because of an offside in the build-up.
It was a chaotic first-half without many clear chances for either side, before Liverpool finally capitalised on United's non-existent midfield presence when Luis Diaz headed in at the back-post after a poor mistake from Casemiro.
Things got even worse before the break when Casemiro was disposed on the edge of his own box, gifting Liverpool possession in a favourable position for Diaz to deservedly double his side's lead.
Ten Hag took drastic action at the break as youngster Toby Collyer replaced Casemiro for his first ever appearance but it did little to weaken Liverpool's grip on the game. Mohamed Salah made it 3-0 ten minutes after the restart and should have had a second only minutes later when he fired over the bar from close range.
The decision to take Alejandro Garnacho off was booed by the home supporters as United pushed for a way back into the match, but despite a few decent half-chances, Liverpool never looked under any serious threat.
Here is how we rated the players in a dreadful home defeat:
