The Man Utd player ratings as they faced Sheffield United in the Premier League fixture on Wednesday night.

Manchester United twice came from behind as they defeated Sheffield United 4-2 in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Erik ten Hag's side were on top from the get-go and almost took an early lead when Diogo Dalot forced a fingertip save from Wes Foderingham. The Blades goalkeeper was in good form on the night though and he soon made another important stop as he thwarted Alejandro Garnacho from close range to keep the contest level.

United continued to dominate proceedings but were once again denied a possible lead when Foderingham saved low from Kobbie Mainoo's close range effort. They would be punished emphatically for their profligacy in front of goal when Jayden Bogle capitalised on a stray pass out from Andre Onana and fired Sheffield United into a shock lead.

A response was required, and United got one almost immediately when Harry Maguire headed in at the near-post from Garnacho's cross. Not even a VAR check for a possible offside could rule this one out.

It looked like United had scored at the perfect moment but only minutes into the second-half they found themselves behind once again when Ben Brereton Diaz fired in totally unmarked after a simple cut back from Ben Osborn. The type of goal we have seen conceded all too often this season.

United once again had to do things the hard way, but they drew themselves level for the second time of the match when Bruno Fernandes fired in emphatically from the penalty spot after Maguire had been fouled in the box.

It was hard to tell what was going to happen as the game gradually ticked towards the end, but thankfully for United it was going to turn in their favour. They had made hard work of things against the worst defence in the Premier League but took the lead in spectacular style when Fernandes fired in from distance.

Another goal was always needed to put the game to bed and they got one in the final minutes of the match when Rasmus Hojlund latched onto a superb ball into the box from Fernandes to give his side a two-goal cushion.

There was even time for some history in the final minutes of the game when teenager Ethan Wheatley became the 250th academy graduate in the club's history to represent the first-team.
