Hide AdTen Hag is set to remain in charge for the time being but will be demanding an improvement in performances as well as results after the international break, with many of his star players yet to really get going this campaign. Here is how we rate the United players who have played at least 100 minutes of football so far this season:
Diogo Dalot - 5. Dalot has played the most minutes of any United player so far this season, mostly out of position. He's struggled in some matches but that is perhaps to be expected.
Andre Onana - 8. Onana has been United's best player so far this season, which tells you everything in itself.
Bruno Fernandes - 4. Fernandes has really struggled in the first weeks of the campaign and has struggled to impact any of the games.

Noussair Mazraoui - 7. Mazroaui has been United's best summer signing and will be sorely missed in the weeks ahead after his surgery.
Marcus Rashford - 6. Rashford has shown glimpses of excellence in the early stages of the season but has also been wasteful as well.
Kobbie Mainoo - 5. Mainoo has looked tired at times and has not been at the same levels he hit last season.

Hide AdAlejandro Garnacho - 7. Garnacho has four goals and three assists already this season despite clear room for improvement.
Casemiro - 4. Casemiro has struggled defensively but caught the eye a few times with his attacking work. His horror show against Liverpool can't be forgotten though.
Amad Diallo - 6. Amad has had plenty of bright moments but hasn't positively influenced matches as much as Garnacho or even Rashford.
Christian Eriksen - 7. Eriksen has already exceeded expectations so far and started six of the last seven matches.

Hide AdJoshua Zirkzee - 4. Zirkzee grabbed a great debut goal but has regressed in recent weeks. He looks far better as a link-up player in midfielder than the striker they need him to be.
Harry Maguire - 6. Maguire has been there when the team needed him most and proved his worth once again in central defence.
Matthijs de Ligt - 5. De Ligt started well at Old Trafford but has regressed in recent weeks and was abysmal against Porto.
Jonny Evans - 7. It's a small sample size, but Evans has been almost flawless when needed.

Mason Mount - 6. United's best football has come when Mount has been on the pitch but he has been injured again.
Rasmus Hojlund - 5. He is still getting back up to speed after injury but has struggled to impose himself in any of his appearances so far.

Hide AdToby Collyer - 5. A decent cameo against Liverpool but he was poor in the Barnsley thrashing, albeit in a makeshift role.
Antony - 4. He is well down the pecking order and still struggling to prove his worth under Erik ten Hag.
