Man Utd could yet sanction a further loan move before another transfer window shuts.

Galatasaray have shown an interest in taking Manchester United star Casemiro on a season-long loan move before the Turkish transfer window shuts next week.

The Turkish champions are looking to add another midfielder to their squad before deadline day on Friday 13 September, with United veteran Casemiro one of the options under consideration.

United were open to offers for the 32-year-old throughout the summer transfer window, but anticipated interest from Saudi Arabia was not forthcoming for their highest-earning player.

While a deal for Casemiro would leave manager Erik ten Hag light on options for the forthcoming season, there is still a belief a loan agreement could be sanctioned if Galatasaray were willing to pay the bulk of his wages. However, this is seen as a huge stumbling block and it is not in United's interest to significantly subsidise his earnings just to get him out of the club.

Galatasaray are also keeping taps on Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie, while Adrien Rabiot has also been linked with a move to Turkey since he left Juventus as a free agent.

Casemiro's future was put under fresh scrutiny following his dreadful performance in United's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool. The Brazilian was substituted at half-time of the match, having made key errors in the build-up to both of Luis Diaz's goals.

Despite his struggles, the former Real Madrid star could still feature for United after the international break as summer signing Manuel Ugarte gets up to speed with his new surroundings.
