Manchester United dealt price tag blow as ‘dizzying offer’ made for Ronald Araujo

Manchester United were handed a lifeline in their bid to reach the top four on Monday night, with Arsenal slipping up.

The Gunners lost to Crystal Palace, meaning United remain within three points of the Champions League places, albeit Arsenal can add three more points to that should they win their game in hand.

There is little margin for error for Ralf Rangnick’s men from here, and especially not after the weekend’s draw aganist Leicester City.

But as the top-four tussle continues, we have taken a look at all the latest transfer rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Osimhen blow

United have been linked with a move for Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen over recent days, but there is a problem, it appears.

According to Corierre dello Sport, having learned of interest from the Red Devils, Napoli have upped their asking price to a touch over £100million.

That could end United’s interest, while Arsenal are also being linked with a move for the striker.

Pogba offer

Paris Saint-Germain are already said to have made an offer to United midfielder Paul Pogba ahead of the summer.

With Pogba’s deal set to expire at the end of the season, PSG are already able to propose a pre-contract agreement, and the Manchester Evening News say an offer has already been made.

Though, they add that the proposal is less than what he makes at Old Trafford, which could cast some doubt on any potential move.

Araujo proposal

United are said to have made a big offer for Barcelona star Ronald Araujo.

The centre-back is out of contract in 2023 and has rejected an early offer from Barca due to salary demands.

According to Estadio Deportivo, United have made a ‘dizzying’ offer to the centre-back ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Though, reports from Spain earlier this week did state that Araujo is keen to stay at Camp Nou.
