Manchester United were left disappointed again over the weekend after failling to overcome their Leicester City test.

Ralf Rangnick’s men managed to equalise through Fred but had to settle for a point in what is another setback in the race for top four.

It’s growing increasingly likely United will be playing Europa League football next season, but there is still plenty of football still to play.

Attention will now turn to this weekend’s clash with Everton, but while preparations take hold, we have taken a look at all the latest transfer rumours.

Araujo setback

United have been heavily linked with a move for Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo over recent weeks.

The Uruguayan is out of contract in 2023 and has already rejected a contract offer from Barca, but in the latest update from Sport, it’s claimed the defender is keen to stay.

Barca see him as a valuable part of their plans, and the two parties have already pencilled in a date for this week to continue contract negotiations, according to the report.

Rashford deal in question

Marcus Rashford is one of the players United are understood to be attempting to tie down, with the forward’s current contract up in 2023.

But ESPN claim the Red Devils are not convinced Rashford sees his long-term future at Old Trafford.

That puts a question mark over any potential new contract, and it could complicate United’s transfer plans this summer.

Eriksen update

United have been tipped to make a move for Brentford star Christian Eriksen over recent days amid the Dane’s return to fitness and form.

Speaking after Brentford’s win over Chelsea, Bees boss Thomas Frank said: “I think it’s no secret that I want him to continue next season.

“I know Christian is enjoying his football and really enjoying being back.

“I know I will have to answer these questions until the end of the season, so let’s see what will happen. To be fair, I know Christian quite well and one thing he’s good at is just enjoying the moment.”
