Manchester United continue Old Trafford refurbishment with upgrade to iconic feature
Manchester United are continuing with their redevelopment of Old Trafford with work beginning on a redesign of the players’ tunnel.
The club confirmed on Tuesday that work has commenced on a redesign of the iconic players’ entrance, with the objective 'to create a performance environment that will inspire and motivate' players on matchdays.

Hide AdIt is claimed the refurbishment will introduce a more modern and premium space for the squads to utilise as United continue to look at ways to improve the matchday experience at home matches.
United have also confirmed plaques in memory of former club president John Henry Davis and former owner James W. Gibson will both be given new homes within the tunnel in a nod to the club's illustrious history.
The ongoing refurbishment of the current stadium comes at a time when United are currently weighing up options to either renovate the current Old Trafford stadium or build an entirely new one on neighbouring land they already own.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has previously indicated his preference is to build an entirely new ground but a formal decision is expected to be communicated in mid-to-late 2024 once the Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force have explored all options available to them.
