Manchester United confirmed squad members vs Southampton as star misses first match of season

Manchester United have been handed a fitness boost for their Premier League clash with Southampton on Thursday night.
Harry Maguire was spotted arriving at Old Trafford for the match after he was deemed a doubt for the game by head coach Ruben Amorim. The 31-year-old was arguably United's best player during their weekend win over Arsenal but was withdrawn before the eventual penalty shootout success due to fitness.

Hide AdUnited are certain to make at least one change to their starting line up for the match, with Diogo Dalot suspended after he was sent off during the FA Cup third round triumph. The Portuguese full-back is the only player to have featured in all previous 31 matches to far this campaign and has played the most minutes of any United player.
Altay Bayindir will hope to keep his starting role after his penalty shootout heroics in North London, though Alejandro Garnacho could drop out of the team in place of Amad Diallo. Amorim has a couple of options to replace the suspended Dalot, with Tyrell Malacia the most likely to start.
There was once again no sign of Marcus Rashford in the United squad that arrived at Old Trafford ahead of his anticipated exit in the January transfer window.
Confirmed squad members: Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Christian Eriksen, Toby Collyer, Bruno Fernandes, Amad, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund.
