By hook or by crook, the Red Devils have managed to stay in control of sixth place heading into the final weekend.
Preparation can then begin for Erik ten Hag’s reign at Old Trafford, and in that vein, we have rounded up all the latest United transfer news and rumours.
Henderson exit looms
United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is heading towards an Old Trafford exit, having fallen out of favour over the last year or so.
Henderson has been a victim of David de Gea winning back his number one spot, and according to the Manchester Evening News, Henderson is headed for St James’ Park.
It’s reported that the deal is ‘90% done’ and that the talks have been over a loan deal, but a permanent deal has not been ruled out.
United have handed a new contract to Charlie Savage, the son of former midfielder Robbie.
The 19-year-old midfielder has already got a senior Premier League appearance, and he is a Wales youth international.
The new deal will see Savage tied down until at least June 2025, with an option of a further year, and he will continue his spell at the club long term having joined at the age of nine.
The Red Devils have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Barcelona star Sergino Dest.
The right-back has struggled to impress Xavi Hernandez, not quite defensively secure enough and not dangerous enough playing further forward.
But at 21, full of pace and good on the ball, Dest is still an attractive prospect.
And according to 90min, the American international has been offered to United, Chelsea and Tottenham, with Dest preferring a move to Old Trafford.
