Manchester United ‘would consider’ selling Alejandro Garnacho if a ‘big money’ offer came in for his services amid interest from Atletico Madrid, according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook on X. The winger hasn’t been a regular starter since Ruben Amorim took over from Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford earlier this winter.
Garnacho, 20, came off the bench last time out as the Red Devils drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield. Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo got their goals against Arne Slot’s side as they picked up a useful point.

Manchester United would sell Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho has made 29 appearances in all competitions so far in this campaign, 18 of which have come in the league, and he has scored eight goals. He is under contract until June 2028 meaning there is no pressure to let him go just yet.
He has been on the books of United since joining them as a teenager back in 2020. Prior to his move to England, he had spells in Spain at Getafe and Atletico Madrid.
The Madrid-born man made his first-team debut back in 2022 and has since gone on to play 114 matches for his current club altogether, finding the net on 23 occasions. He has won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup in the past under former head coach Erik ten Hag.

Atletico Madrid could see him as someone to bolster their attacking ranks. They would also offer him the chance to return to Spain and play in La Liga as they chase down the title. United are back in action this weekend with an away trip to Arsenal in the FA Cup and that is a chance for Garnacho to get some minutes. Speaking after their clash against Liverpool, Amorim said: “I get more mad because of the other games. It's even harder to understand some things.
“This is not about the system, it's about something else. It's hard to understand even for the coach. We should get mad and disappointed - more than the other day, against Newcastle, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest. Today we need to be really disappointed. [I haven't told my players this yet] because I need to calm down and say the right thing. We are in a difficult moment. It's hard to not get really mad. I'm happy for the performance and the result - but I'm really really mad about the other games."
He added: "You can ask any person. Fight, face the opponent, believe, go for the second balls. Fight. It's so clear. That should be a big issue for our players that even one person thinks you have the ability but not the character. We have to fight that and change that. I think it is really clear. When we are focused, when we fight for every ball, when we suffer and we are tired when the game is finished, we are a good team."
