Manchester United aim to 'hijack' Newcastle United transfer as possible Erik ten Hag replacement 'contacted'

Manchester United fans have been forced to endure yet another season of disappointment in the Premier League and in Europe but still have an FA Cup final to look forward to. Despite that clash with rivals Manchester City at Wembley, the Red Devils are already looking towards next season as they prepare for a first summer since Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s minority takeover.
United have reportedly been in contact with a highly-rated head coach as they look at the possibility of moving on from Erik ten Hag - additionally, they have also been linked with a move for a Newcastle United transfer target.

Kieran McKenna is one of the most coveted managers in English football at the moment, following his heroic exploits as head coach of newly-promoted Ipswich Town - and United have apparently taken notice of this.
According to a report from The Guardian, McKenna is on United’s shortlist to become their next manager and is under ‘serious consideration’. On top of this, they have also been in contact with him, though a formal offer has yet to be submitted. With Ten Hag’s job seemingly hanging by a thread, McKenna could be a brilliant - yet risky - replacement for the Dutchman. He was a first-team coach at Old Trafford previously having also worked in the club’s academy.
United to ‘hijack’ Newcastle United bid for Tosin Adarabioyo
Tosin Adarabioyo has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle in the summer transfer window, with his contract at Fulham due to expire in the summer. However, the Red Devils have also taken a liking to the 26-year-old, according to a recent report from TalkSPORT.
United are in desperate need of quality centre-backs with Raphael Varane is set to leave the club at the end of the season while several others have been out with injuries.
