Manchester derby fan gallery: Jubilant Man City supporters as Man Utd fans leave early

Check out these images from Manchester City’s 6-3 win over Manchester United.

It was a derby day to remember for Manchester City fans as their team beat Manchester United 6-3 at the Etihad.

Remarkably, it was a double hat-trick on the day which secured the three points for City, with Phil Foden and Erling Haaland netting three each.

The latter even assisted Foden for two of his goals, while the Norwegian became the first player in Premier League history to score three back-to-back home hat-tricks.

As for United, they were second best across the whole afternoon but managed a few bright moments after the break. Antony scored a brilliant shot from the edge of the box, while substitute Anthony Martial managed to net two late strikes.

But it was very much a case of papering over the cracks for United however, as Erik ten Hag had a derby debut to forget and questions will once again be asked of this side despite the four-match winning run which had preceded the meeting with City.

Indeed, so bad did things get for the away supporters, many opted to leave the Etihad early, with Sky Sports showing a significant number streaming out of the exits.

It was particularly noticeable in the second half with large sections of empty seats in the away section.

In contrast, City fans were certainly enjoying themselves as they ran through renditions of their favourite chants, poked fun at the away supporters and did their famous Pozan celebration in the second half.
