A game that has seen plenty of mixed results as well as quality goals, there always seems to be a talking point coming out of the clash.
In the reverse fixture in November, the Sky Blues ran out 2-0 winners against the Red Devils at Old Trafford with Eric Bailly scoring an own goal early in the game before Bernardo Silva poked home just before half-time.
With that being said, let’s take a look at the top nine Manchester derby scorers in the Premier League era.
1 = Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero (8)
Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero share top spot for the most goals scored in the Manchester derby in the Premier League with eight each.
The goal that stands out for Rooney during the derby will no doubt be his match-winning overhead-kick in their 2011 meeting, while Aguero netted a great solo goal in 2013 for City, dribbling past three players before smashing it into the top corner.
2. Eric Cantona (7)
“King” Eric Cantona was a key player for United in the derby, netting seven times in the Premier League.
The Frenchman scored a brilliantly taken goal in their 1994 meeting, controlling the ball with a flick of his right foot before firing in with his left.
3. Paul Scholes (5)
The first midfielder on the list is Paul Scholes with five Manchester derby goals for the Red Devils.
Scholes famously came out of retirement in 2012, coming on as a second half substitute for United against the Sky Blues in their FA Cup clash.
4 = Edin Dzeko, David Silva, Niall Quinn, Andrei Kanchelskis and Ruud van Nistelrooy (4)
Five players share fourth spot on the list with Edin Dzeko, David Silva and Niall Quinn all netting four times for City in the Manchester derby, while Andrei Kanchelskis and Ruud van Nistelrooy have the same number of goals for the Red Devils.
