Manchester United's hopes of a top four finish were boosted at the weekend by the 2-1 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League.
And it came at a bad cost for the hosts. Villa midfielder Boubacar Kamara suffered a “significant” knee ligament injury in the game, the club has confirmed in a statement on Monday evening.

“The midfielder sustained the damage during yesterday’s fixture with Manchester United and has subsequently undergone a scan this morning. Kamara’s condition will be reviewed ahead of a further consultation with a knee specialist.”
Villa are currently fifth in the Premier League on 46 points, a point behind Spurs in the final Champions League spot. United, meanwhile, boosted by the weekend win are sixth and five points adrift of Villa.
