Man Utd's impressive attendance compared to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Celtic and world's biggest clubs

Manchester United fans haven't had too much to cheer about this season but have kept supporting their club nonetheless.

It's been a somewhat underwhelming season at Manchester United with chances of a major trophy and Champions League qualification both in doubt. Erik ten Hag's side currently sit eight points away from fourth-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League while their final chance at silverware comes via the FA Cup, where they host Liverpool at Old Trafford in the quarter-final on Sunday.

Disappointment on the pitch has not pushed fans away off it, however, and fans continue to flock towards Old Trafford every other week, come rain or shine. The Theatre of Dreams is almost always full and loud.

Old Trafford remains one of the world's most iconic stadiums and also one of its best attended. But how do United fans compare with their rivals in that respect? Well, Transfermarkt have collated the numbers to work out average attendances across the globe (teams to have played more than one game). Take a look below to find out.
