Manchester United are back in form following a disappointing start to the season, now on a superb winning run.
Erik ten Hag’s men saw off Manchester City over the weekend, coming from behind to take all three points. United are now making up ground on those above, just one point behind City in second. Meanwhile, Ten Hag will be working to bring in new signings, despite talk he will have to do it on the cheap due to the club’s ownership situation, which is uncertain at best.
With that in mind, we have put together a possible United starting XI for after the January transfer window, slotting in some possible new signings based on recent rumours.

1. GK - David De Gea
United will be staying with De Gea, at least until the end of the season.
2. LB - Tyrell Malacia
There is a solid case for Luke Shaw here, but Ten Hag will likely flick between him and Malacia, perhaps preferring the latter’s pace in the long run.
3. CB - Lisandro Martinez
One of United’s best signings from the summer.
4. CB - Raphael Varane
Varana has nailed down a centre-back stop, and he is not going to be dropped any time soon.
