Ratcliffe update

United fans have been given some good news ahead of Christmas, with Jim Ratcliffe's proposed partial takeover reportedly moving a little closer to completion. It has been known for weeks that Ratcliffe will be the man to step in, agreeing a £1.3billion deal in principle to purchase 25% of the club.

Though, the timeline has been unclear, with the process continuing to rumble on over recent weeks. According to The Times, the deal is now nearing completion, with the negotiations now int he 'final stages'. It's hoped the confirmation will come early in the new year.

Kubo 'interest'

United are said to be interested in Real Sociedad winger Take Kubo. The winger has been excellent for La Real since making the move from Real Madrid, initially on loan before joining permanently. Kubo has been instrumental in a strong start for the Basque club, who won their Champions League group this season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United are now interested in a deal, though they would have to wait until the summer due to La Real's Champions League run. It's claimed the Red Devils would be willing to sanction a deal worth £52million, which is the winger's release clause, and they are reportedly willing to offer to increase Kubo's wages by a multiple of seven.
