Manchester United are being linked with a summer move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The Red Devils are already plotting potential additions ahead of the next transfer window.

According to L’Equipe, Erik ten Hag’s side have made him an ‘important target’ ahead of next season. The report also adds that they will ‘push to sign’ him.

United will have a vacancy to fill in the middle of the park with Marcel Sabitzer due to return to Bayern Munich when his loan ends. He only joined on a temporary basis in January as cover for when Christian Eriksen sustained an injury.

Rabiot, 28, could be seen as an ideal option for the Premier League giants as they look to add more quality competition and depth into their ranks. He is vastly experienced at playing at the top level and is out of contract in a couple of months time which means he would be available on a free transfer.

He has played for Juventus since 2019 and has since made 173 appearances for the Italian outfit in all competitions, chipping in with 17 goals along the way, 11 of which have come in this campaign. The France international helped them win the Serie A title back in 2020.

Prior to his move to Turin, he spent nine years on the books at PSG. He rose up through the youth ranks and went on to play 227 games for the first-team before heading out the exit door.

Rabiot appears likely to move on again this year and a new challenge beckons for him. United would be an attractive proposition for him as they are hopeful of returning to Champions League football next term and he would be able to play alongside the likes of Eriksen, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford at Old Trafford.
