Manchester United will be without six players for Wednesday’s Premier League encounter against Leeds United.
Erik ten Hag has a real concern in midfield with four first-teamers missing through injury or suspension. The latter applies to Casemiro who was sent off on Saturday for grabbing Will Hughes by the throat in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, and the Brazilian will sit out the Red Devils’ next three league games as a result.

Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen are long-term absentees with knee and ankle issues respectively, while Scott McTominay is also facing a short spell on the sidelines due to a knock and won’t be available for Wednesday’s match. It leaves Ten Hag with just Fred, Bruno Fernandes and Marcel Sabitzer as midfield options.
But the United manager also revealed in his pre-match press conference that Antony and Anthony Martial won’t be available for the game. The latter missed the win over Palace after suffering a relapse in his recent recovery from injury, while Antony’s knock means Alejandro Garnacho or Jadon Sancho could start against managerless Leeds.
The Yorkshire club are also suffering from a number of injuries, and striker Rodrigo has been ruled out having recently undergone surgery to address an ankle problem. Adam Foreshaw is a long-term absentee with a hip issue, while Stuart Dallas hasn’t played this season after breaking his leg in April 2022. Archie Gray and Sonny Perkins are also out, but Robin Koch is available again after serving a one-match suspension last time out against Nottingham Forest.
