Manchester United’s list of absentees continues to grow, with two fresh injuries confirmed this week.

It wasn’t long ago that Erik ten Hag was celebrating the return of so many key players, but the Dutchman will be without seven players for Saturday’s game against Fulham. Rasmus Hojlund was the most recent setback, with the Dane ruled out of this weekend’s clash and the upcoming Manchester derby.

"It’s a small injury,” said Ten Hag in Friday’s press conference. “Two, three weeks. It happened and that is the risk of playing high intensity and training. It is not a big injury but he has to wait one, two or three weeks."

It was also confirmed this week that Luke Shaw is set to be out for a few months with a muscular injury, joining fellow defenders Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia on the sidelines. It means Diogo Dalot is the only fit full-back available, while United also don’t have a recognised centre-forward for Saturday’s game with Hojlund out and Antony Martial recovering from groin surgery.

Elsewhere, Mason Mount still isn’t available and last featured in November, while Lisandro Martinez’s knee injury will prevent him playing until April.

As for Fulham, Marco Silva revealed ahead of the game that Willian will face a late fitness test ahead of the game, while Armando Broja is expected to return after missing last week’s defeat to Aston Villa through injury. Kenny Tete is the only other doubt for the Cottagers, and he has missed the last two games with an Achilles problem.

Influential midfielder Joao Palhinha will definitely be absent as he serves the first of his two-game suspension after last week he became the first player to accumulate 10 bookings this season. Raul Jimenez is also ruled out for the visitors.

Doubts: Tete, Willian, Broja (Fulham). Out: Wan-Bissaka, Martinez, Shaw, Malacia, Mount, Hojlund, Martial (United); Palhinha, Jimenez.
