Manchester United host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday, the second time this week the two sides have met.

Manchester United, fresh from their midweek Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace, return to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon for Premier League action - against Palace (KO 3pm).

One player unlikely to feature for Palace, though, is former United keeper Dean Henderson.

Henderson was withdrawn after just 19 minutes on his Palace debut in the 3-0 defeat to United on Tuesday and Palace boss Roy Hodgson says he will have to wait for a prognosis.

“Not really [any update], because like all those muscle injuries the doctors can tell you which part of the leg the injury occurs in, but are not prepared to give any suggestion on the severity of it,” he said.

“That will need a scan I am sure, and we will have to wait for the result of the scan. Often you have to wait a day or two before they can even do the scan. At the minute, we just know he had a very unfortunate end to a game he was really looking forward to playing.”

Meanwhile, the draw for the Carabao Cup fourth round has been drawn.

After beating treble-winners Manchester City 1-0 in the third-round at St James’ Park, Newcastle United’s reward was an away tie against Carabao Cup holders Manchester United at Old Trafford. The tie will take place on October 31 or November 1 with the television schedule yet to be decided.
