According to Sport, the Red Devils are considering a permanent move for the full-back, who previously worked with Ten Hag at Ajax.

Dest has struggled to win over Xavi Hernandez, and United could do with more help on the right amid uncertainty surrounding Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future.

Antony latest

United are still said to be interested in Ajax winger Antony.

According to Fabrizio Romano, via CaughtOffside, a Red Devils move for Antony ‘shouldn’t be ruled out’ despite their interest cooling over recent weeks.

Though, it seems United are not going to pay the more than £75million Ajax are asking for this summer.

Crucially, Ajax do not want to lose any more players having already sold Lisandro Martinez this summer, they are not likely to cut a deal.

De Jong and Chelsea

Chelsea are said to have opened ‘direct talks’ with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong.

United have been trying to pull off a deal all summer, but to little avail, with the Dutchman seemingly wanting to stay put.

But according to The Athletic, Chelsea are now in talks, and they are ‘optimistic’ about striking a deal.
