Manchester United have not completed a £43m deal for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae, his camp have told South Korean media.

The Red Devils have been tracking the defender since late last year, with the player said to have a £43m release clause inserted into his deal with the Serie A champions.

The 26-year-old has made 33 league appearances for Napoli, scoring two goals and providing two assists, with the side boasting the best defensive record in the Italian top flight.

However, it has been widely reported his release clause is only valid until July as Napoli aim to keep him at the club amid interest from United.

Reports claimed the player had agreed wages and was close to completing an agreement on personal terms but this claim has been denied.

His camp told South Korean outlet Star News: “The transfer to Manchester United is not true. He does not need to rush.”

Meanwhile, United are reported to be leading the chase to sign ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane as the Senegal international could leave Bayern Munich after just one season.

According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern are expected to offload Mane this summer after he joined for an approximate €32m fee from Anfield last June.

He has scored 12 goals this campaign but is not part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for next term. He was suspended for one game following an altercation with teammate Leroy Sane after Bayern’s first-leg defeat to Man City in the Champions League quarter finals.

Mane’s salary demands means a move back to the Premier League is a possibility with the Red Devils said to be seeking a ‘cut-price’ deal.

He scored 120 goals and provided 48 assists during his time a Liverpool and won the Champions League and Premier League. Newcastle have also been linked with the player as the Magpies seek to seal top-four spot.
