The United boss said after that game that Luke Shaw and Christian Eriksen could be back to face Tottenham and. speaking in Friday's pre-match press conference, confirmed they are indeed options for the meeting with the North London club, along with four other players.

"We have had a lot of injuries. In the last couple of days, Licha Martinez, Casemiro and Luke Shaw training," said the Dutchman. "There are players returning and they are coming in for selection on Sunday.

"Eriksen was ill in the week and he will return and Antony will return as well. Amad will return. We have more choices to make our starting XI and bench much stronger."

Antony missed the Wigan game due to a minor knock, while Amad was absent with illness. But the biggest boost for Ten Hag sees Martinez and Casemiro returning from injuries, two key players from last season. The latter hasn't played in three months, while Martinez's last game came on 20 September in the Champions League loss at Bayern Munich.
