Man Utd team news vs Real Betis: Latest on seven players including three injury doubts - gallery

Three Manchester United players are ruled out of Thursday’s game, but Casemiro is available.

Manchester United head to Seville for the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie knowing they are firm favourites to progress to the next stage.

The Red Devils won 4-1 last week at Old Trafford, meaning it would take an unlikely turnaround from Betis to deny Erik ten Hag’s side from making it to a third cup quarter-final of the season.

Marcus Rashford, Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst were on target for United in the convincing win and, with an important FA Cup tie against Fulham at the weekend, it’s likely Ten Hag will rest his players for the clash at the Benito Villamarin Stadium. It’s also the second time United have played at the ground this season, with an understrength side losing there 1-0 in a mid-season friendly in December.

Betis have enjoyed a good season under former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini and are just three points off the Champions League places in La Liga. Despite the disappointing performance last week at Old Trafford, Betis have proven themselves to be a competitive side in recent years and last season won the Copa del Rey.

But their European adventures are likely to end on Thursday against an in-form United team who progressed to the last-16 after beating Barcelona over two legs in the play-off round.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag does have a number of injury concerns, and there have been worrying updates on Alejandro Garnacho this week. Here’s a full list of United’s injuries ahead of Thursday’s second leg.
