Man Utd 'target' Premier League defender ahead of summer revamp

The latest Manchester United and Premier League transfer news.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Wolves captain Max Kilman this summer.

The Times report the 26-year-old centre-back is on a shortlist of potential options as the Old Trafford giants look to improve their central defensive options. United are in action tonight when they travel to face Chelsea in the Premier League.

Sky Sports report: “United have reportedly made signing a defender and a striker their top priorities this summer and Kilman is of interest with the club having sent staff to watch him on more than one occasion. The report claims there has been no contact between the two clubs over a potential transfer but Wolves would be reluctant to let the 26-year-old depart.”

The defender, who has also had transfer interest from Serie A side Napoli, signed a new five-year deal at Wolves. Meanwhile, United have been handed a timely triple fitness boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea tonight after the club suffered a major double defensive blow earlier in the week.

Erik ten Hag has confirmed Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire have all trained ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge and that there have not been any fresh injury concerns.
