But with just hours left before the market closes, will the Red Devils be tempted to complete any further deals?

Here’s your lunchtime roundup of all the latest rumours and gossip doing the rounds at Old Trafford...

Emerging talents in demand

United are looking to loan out Northern Ireland international midfielder Ethan Galbraith, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old spent a stint with Doncaster Rovers last season, and is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Crewe Alexandra and Scottish outfit Hibernian.

Elsewhere, the Red Devils are open to the prospect of allowing England youth defender Will Fish to head out on loan in an effort to gain first-team minutes.

The Mail also claim that United have had enquiries for full-back Brandon Williams, but the 21-year-old’s current injury plight could prevent him from leaving the club in the coming hours.

Ronaldo set to stay

Despite widespread speculation surrounding a potential exit this summer, it is understood that Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to stay at Old Trafford beyond the transfer deadline.

According to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano: “The situation is calm around Cristiano Ronaldo and he has never really been close to any club, just a lot of speculation but no advanced talks; [Jorge] Mendes has been trying for weeks.

“Ten Hag is convinced that he will ultimately remain at Man United, same for the board.”

Speaking about Ronaldo’s future, Ten Hag himself said: “We need numbers there. We need not just quantity but quality.”

Depay remains “one to watch”

Reported United target Memphis Depay could still be on the move in the latter stages of the window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Dutch forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Barcelona in recent weeks, with the prospect of a return to Old Trafford regularly touted.

Recent updates from Spanish publication Sport have suggested that Depay will remain in Catalonia to see out the final year of his contract with Barca, but Romano believes that there is still a chance he could leave.

Speaking to Caught Offside, he said: “So far there have been no new or fresh contacts with Man United, but I think Depay is one to watch until the end because he can end his contract with Barcelona at any time.

“He was very close to joining Juventus, but I’m not aware of anything advanced over joining Real Sociedad. United have explored the possibility, but that’s all.

“As a free transfer, I think Depay represents a great opportunity, so keep your eyes on this one in the hours ahead.”
