According to a report by The Sun, Erik ten Hag’s side are ‘ready’ to trigger a contract extension for him to fend off other clubs.

Former United midfielder Michael Carrick has won his first game in charge of Middlesbrough. The Championship side turned to him as their replacement for Chris Wilder and he lost his opening match away at Preston North End. However, he has got his first three points under his belt now following a 3-1 away win against Hull City on Tuesday night.
