All the latest news surrounding the incoming partial takeover at Manchester United as the process rumbles on.

Manchester United continue to wait for news over their potential takeover, with Jim Ratcliffe set to arrive as a minority shareholder. Ratcliffe is expected to purchase 25% of the club, but the process has been a slow one up to now.

In fact, it has been more than a year since the Glazers announced they would welcome outside investment, and since then, bids have come and gone, while hopes of a full purchase have been dashed, leading to a compromise of sorts, with Ratcliffe settling for a quarter of the club. Here we round up all the latest surrounding the potential partial takeover.

Ratcliffe's mission

Ratcliffe is said to have been on a 'fact-finding mission' to United along with right-hand man Jean Claude-Blanc, who is tipped to become the club's next chief executive. The Athletic say Ratcliffe and Blanc attended a meeting with executives at Old Trafford on Thursday, along with INEOS director of sport Dave Brailsford.

The meeting with the existing executives is said to have taken place in a bid for the INEOS group to get a clear idea of where the club is and where they need to take it. The meeting is Ratcliffe's first official gathering with United since March, when he met officials as part of the initial bidding process. The takeover process remains a slow one, though, and the Daily Mail have reported there has been another delay. Despite that, the 25% purchase is expected to go ahead as planned.

Jassim looks elsewhere

Sheikh Jassim made a number bids to purchase United in full during the bidding process, falling short largely due to the Glazers' desire to stick around. Jassim has since been linked with Tottenham, but it has now been reported that he is considering purchasing Italian giants Inter Milan.

La Repubblica report that Jassim is a potential bidder for Inter, who could be set for new owners in the near future. The report claims talks are expected to take place between Jassim and Inter in the coming weeks.
